Zebra Projects, Inc. is offering a unique and exciting opportunity to qualified candidates who would like to help the firm expand our service offering. We are seeking an experienced Retail focused Assistant Construction Manager to join our team and to grow this division within the company. This is a unique opportunity to be the first of your kind within the firm, and to make a significant impact on our projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing the construction process for retail buildouts and experience in creating the construction budget, running the bidding process, levelling bids and ensuring projects are delivered on time to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop project schedules and budgets and ensure that projects are progressing according to plan.
• Manage project teams, including contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Manage the bidding process, including soliciting bids, leveling bids, and negotiating contracts.
• Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all workers and ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify any issues or potential problems.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• 5 years of experience managing the construction process for restaurant and retail buildouts.
• Experience managing the bidding process, including soliciting bids, leveling bids, and negotiating contracts.
• Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
